The K’ilu Company’s WELCOME IN SHABBAT Sensory Storytelling Kit is a 10-minute interactive audio and play-based experience that will help you bring Shabbat to life in the classroom.

Guided by the audio experience, the children will imagine getting ready for Shabbat with animal characters. Lightning bugs help light the Shabbat candles, elephants squish the grapes to make grape juice for kiddush, and monkeys braid the challah. The song includes breaks to play each moment with the children using sensory props. The track also includes the recitation of the traditional Shabbat blessings and ends with a dance party to welcome in Shabbat.

This resource is only available to select JCC Early Childhood Programs as part of a 2026 Pilot Project in collaboration with The K’ilu Company and First Foundations Jewish Community Pre-Schools.
